Big special exhibition about Danish railways
The history of the development of railways in Denmark. Many objects never displayed before. Fine models, environments, computer simulations, lots of video screens, etc.
Meister Works (13 January - 31 May)
A special exhibition of models made by Adolf Meister. Adolf Meister is particularly interested in Epoch I, “when the railway was being developed and when inventors and artisans were designing one interesting locomotive after another - often with flaws and shortcomings, but they did so with enthusiasm. In recent years, 2007-2008, I have been doing lots of research into these early railways and have built 48 locomotives which date from this era, and an equal number of carriages.”
Winter mid-term break (13–28 February 2010)

Storytelling in the exhibition area
(13 March, from 2.30 p.m. to around 4 p.m.)
Senior research associate Hans Sode-Madsen will tell the story of how Danish concentration-camp prisoners were brought back to Denmark in the last months of World War II in white buses from Sweden and Denmark. The story is related to the museum's Triangel omnibus, which was used for these transports. In Danish.
Model steam-model club exhibit (12 noon to 4 p.m.)

Giant model railway among the museum's carriages and locomotives. Set up starts on 27 March. In operation from around 1 April)
uring the Easter holidays, Michael Moser and his model-railway friends will set up a several-hundred-metre-long model H0-gauge railway on the floor area among the exhibition's carriages and locomotives. Vintage train at Easter (1-5 April)
Three trips a day on a classic motor-carriage train to Tommerup, West Funen.

Day out with Thomas
(29 April - 2 May, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
All children have has seen the small blue Thomas Train locomotive on television and video, and during this Danish holiday weekend, the authentic Thomas locomotive will be paying a visit from the UK to the Danish Railway Museum - this is the only place in Denmark or Scandinavia where this will be possible!!! Ascension Day (13-14 May)

Vintage train rides at the museum at around 11 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. The rides last about 10 minutes and are included in the price.
Vintage trains (with performances) during the Whitsun weekend - three trips a day to Fruens Bøge
(23-24 May)

Ride the museum's vintage train to see the beautiful springtime splendour of Fruens Bøge on Whit Sunday and Whit Monday. The train is made up of charming Triangel motor carriages built in Odense about 70 years ago. Actors from the Museum Tidens Samling will be performing on the platforms wearing costumes from the “good old days”.

Father's Day / Constitution Day (5 June)
Children can bring their father to the museum free of charge. Vintage train rides at the museum from around 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. The rides last about 10 minutes and are included in the price. Admission to the museum: Children 40 DKK, Adults 80 DKK.
Vintage bus rides to the Funen Power Station with guided tours of the new straw-fired incineration plant (children: DKK 10, adults: DKK 20).
The Art of the Poster (15 June - 15 September)
Large special exhibition from London Transport Museum's special collection of master copies of famous posters for buses and subways in London. Further details here
Denmark's school holidays in summer
(26 June - 13 August, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

School-holiday activities (free once you have paid the price of admission): Vintage train rides at the museum (from around 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.), mini-train rides, outdoors or indoors (11 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and handcar rides (11 a.m. - 4 p.m.). All activities can be held regardless of the weather.

75th anniversary of the deployment of the first red high-speed trains in Denmark
(21 August 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and 22 August 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

The museum's newly refurbished high-speed unit from 1935 and other rolling stock will be included in the celebration. Vintage train rides and presentations. Further details to be announced.

Mini-trains and vintage trains on the Museum grounds (11 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.), adventure trips with competitions for children.
Vintage train trips to Nyborg during the autumn mid-term break (16-22 October)
Two trips daily with a long vintage steam express train Odense-Nyborg. Odense Station 10.25 and 14.25.
